Ted Brownstein

Ted Brownstein is a Jewish-Christian-Baha’i living in Lake Worth, Florida, with his wife, Chris. He holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Hebrew from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, 1985, having studied under Professors Menahem Mansoor and Michael V. Fox.
Ted was raised as a cultural Jew and became a Christian during college, influenced by the nonviolent spirit of Martin Luther King, while still retaining his Jewish identity. In 1997, he embraced the Baha’i Faith. Currently, Ted is a co-founder and serves on the board of directors of the Lake Worth Interfaith Network. He is also a board member of Abrahamic Reunion USA and a member of the Lake Worth MLK Committee, has served as an ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions, and a faculty member for the Wilmette Institute, where he taught various courses on Judaism,
Christianity, and Interfaith Dialogue. Ted is a frequent presenter at Magdalene Carney Bahá’i Center, Temple Adath Or, South Florida Center for Jewish Renewal, online Sacred Text Studies with Sheikh Abd Manasra, and other multifaith venues, leading numerous workshops and classes focused on peacemaking, building interfaith bridges, and exploring mystical perspectives in Torah, Kabbalah, Sufism, Maya Cosmology, and the Bahá’í Faith.

Ted is also the compiler of The Interfaith Prayer Book (2014), a collection of prayers from 14 world faiths, author of
Pioneers of Jewell (2013), a history of Lake Worth with a race relations theme, author of Soaring In the Heaven of God’s
Love (2017), an interfaith commentary on the Baha’i Long Obligatory Prayer, The Kinship of the Bible and Qur’an – An
Interfaith Perspective (2021) and the recently released Bahá’í Keys – Reconciling Jesus and Muhammad (2025) that
explores insights from the Bahá’í Writings to illuminate how the teachings of these two great figures can be viewed as part
of “the one changeless faith of God.”
