Negar Mottahedeh

Negar Mottahedeh received her Ph.D. in 1999 from the University of Minnesota and teaches at Duke University. She is a cultural critic and a film theorist who has written about post-revolutionary Iranian cinema and about gender in Iran. She has also published about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s travel to Europe and the United States.
