In 2024 the Corinne True Center for Baha’i History appointed a Task Force to develop materials to assist people in doing oral history. The Center realizes the importance of collecting historical materials and information so that future generations will be able to learn about the challenges and successes of the Baha’is as they take the message of Baha’u’llah to humanity. An important way to collect that information is through oral history.
Over the last year, the task force gradually developed a slide show to describe how to do oral history; who to interview, how to respect privacy, how to be culturally and historically sensitive, how to capture the interview and preserve it, and how to use it. The slide show, of about 60 slides, was presented to the members of the course Writing Histories and Biographies on December 15.
