This presentation is a brief look at the Greek philosopher Aristotle, his main ideas and teachings, and how they relate to Bahá’í teachings. It is not a philosophical essay or an in-depth study of Aristotle. My purpose is to show that many of the ideas of the “the well-known man of knowledge” are at the origin of Western cultural values and are “validated” by the Bahá’í Faith.

Marco Oliveira is a Portuguese Bahá’í living in Lisbon, Portugal. He was born into a Catholic family and accepted the Faith in 1984. He is married, has two children, and works as a software engineer. He attended the “Religious Sciences” course at the Catholic University of Lisbon and is the author of the blog “Povo de Bahá” (People of Bahá). The deep study of Bahá’í themes and the study of scripture and theology have been his passions. In recent years he has devoted special attention to the study of Christian themes from a Bahá’í perspective.
